There are 2 Types of Stable Vitamin C in this product:
SAP (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate)- It’s the most stable form of Vitamin C, meaning it won’t oxidize and go bad in a couple months. It’s an antioxidant that reduces oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals, effectively slowing down the aging process and formation of fine lines and wrinkles. When it’s well formulated, SAP has the ability to penetrate the epidermis (outer layer of skin where the stratum corneum and acid mantle lie) without causing irritation. SAP also has acne fighting beneifts and researchers show it educes sebum oxidation by up to 40%.
MAP (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate) - Form of vitamin C that is considered stable and is an effective antioxidant for skin. This form of vitamin C is also known to increase skin’s hydration levels as well as being effective for calming factors in skin that can lead to excess oil and signs of sensitization.Like most forms of vitamin C, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (in amounts of 5% or greater) has been shown to improve the look of an uneven skin tone.
